Raph is freaking jacked up like massive and big

im trying to understand how the canon mystic powers work but im still not really sure. like do we ever know how raph, donnie, mikey, and leo's mystic powers work? their ninpō seems to be a bit different(?) from the description of the Hamato Ninpō, but was it ever explained how they got their mystic powers? was it a result of genetic modification? im confused

or is it connected to the Hamato Ninpō in some way? and if so, would a missing sibling not raised in the Hamato clan have the same level of mystic ability as the brothers?
